Commercial Juicer ain’t for the faint hearted

If you are feeling a little bit light in your wallet, then you would do well to avoid the Commercial Juicer. Why, you ask? The answer is very simple – we are talking about a whopping $9,900 price tag here. This is no ordinary juicer, as it has been classified as a “restaurant juicer” which is capable of extracting up to 84 oz. of fresh fruit every minute. Yes sir, that is right, entire oranges, grapefruit, or pomegranates can be placed within the chute, where the internal rotating flywheels will press the fruit onto a stainless steel micro serrated blade which then bisects the fruit.

Spinning reamers will then do their job, squeezing the exposed pulp while extracting its juice via a filter that ensures none of the bitter pith and pulp will end up in the juice itself, just before the liquid is channeled into an awaiting glass. As for the remaining squeezed fruit, that bit would be sent to chambers on either side of the juicer so that it is a whole lot easier to dispose of. You can view the whole juicing process via the transparent housing, and the Commercial Juicer is capable of juicing up to 28 oranges each minute. No idea on which home would settle for the exorbitant price tag though.

Three-Story Tower of Abraham Lincoln Books

There is a lot to be said about Abraham Lincoln, one of America’s most influential presidents, which is made abundantly clear by the newly erected tower of books in the nation’s capital. The cylindrical structure stands three stories high at approximately 34 feet in height and features over 15,000 titles about the 16th president of the free world. The innumerable volumes of works present in this towering pillar symbolize the never-ending discussion about the famed American president.

Placed in the lobby of Ford’s Theatre Center for Education and Leadership, it makes for an excellent introductory piece to the new museum dedicated to Lincoln’s history.

The 5 in 1 Connection Kit – More of Whats Missing for your iPad

Don’t get me wrong, I love my iPad! I take it with me everywhere and I use it for just about everything, an address book, appointment calendar, Internet searching, entertainment… I wanted to put pictures on it, but that required a special dongle thingy. Hey, come to think of it there’s quite a few things my iPad could do, things it probably should do.

So now what? Funny you should ask, you’re probably already puzzled as to why there’s no SD card slot, there’s no way to connect your camera without buying the Apple dongle thingy, there’s no USB port for charging, there’s no data port for external devices, you ARE asking yourself why, are you not? Well, with the 5-in-1 connection kit you still wont know why, but it simply wont matter anymore.

The kit includes a singular iPad (original and 2) compatible dongle that supports iOS 4.0 or better, and allows you to connect your iPad to a TV for video playback, utilize an SD card for data transfer, a computer for data sync and a keyboard for data input and DC for picture and video input.

Of course with your iPad being more of a “reader” of graphics files not everything you plug into the sucker will do what you want it to, and the manufacturer also suggests that you don’t plug in more than one thing at a time

So admittedly your trusty little iPad will still not be perfect, but it’ll be just a little bit closer and do a few more of the things you always hoped for. Isn’t that nice? The 5 in 1 Connector Kit is available from usbfever.com for under 40 bucks.

Sometimes, while I sit at my desk and toil away the hours working on my computer, I get lonely. It only stand to reason that I would enjoy the company of a friend. My perfect friend would be one that doesnt comment on my work, doesnt eat my food and wont make any noise while I’m trying to concentrate!

So please welcome Andru! You probably recognize him as a little Android, but he is also a nifty little green phone charger made especially for Android phones, although of course, he will graciously charge any USB-powered device you would like to entrust him with. He comes with a micro-USB plug, but you can also use your own.

Andru is only about two and a half inches tall and has movable arms and malleable little green antennae, his eyes light up to alert you to charging status (White for standby, blue for charge) and he comes with his very own stand, and cable. He doesn’t disturb, and listens quite attentively. I can also tell by his expression, Andru is incredibly non-judgemental.

Andru is available for only 25 bucks at www.powerbygen.com

Escape Sculptures Embedded in Walls by Matteo Pugliese

Sculptures by Milan-based sculptor Matteo Pugliese of men, which seem to be trapped in the vertical space of gallery walls. In some cases, it’s difficult to tell whether the statues are materializing out of the vertical encasement or actually submerging into a pool of white. Are they breaking free or being engulfed? It’s a fascinating thought to ponder.

I am all over the page when it comes to my ringtones, its either something super boring that the phone was set on when I got it, or something really weird that I pay to download, and everytime the phone rings everyone around me looks over disapprovingly. In any case I can think of dozens of ringtones that I’d like to have… but they don’t exist.

Luckily we have the  iPhone Ringtone Manager, users can customize their iPhone ringtones at will. For instance, users can trim any segment from video, audio or DVD sources, and adjust ringtone volume and add fade-in or fade-out for even more professional effects. This software contains a built-in player, which can help users pre-listen to their desired iPhone ringtone effect. With this professional tool, users can even extract existing ringtones from the iPhone and have the ability to rename the ringtones right at their fingertips.

The Ringtone Maker for iPhone also enables you to export iPhone ringtones to your computer and iTunes, and transfer iPhone ringtones to other iPhone devices directly. It is fully compatible with all iPhone devices, including iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, and supports the new iOS 5.

So now we have no excuse not to have unique and creative ringtones, ones that fully express our personalities and passions, so the next time you’re at the store and hear someones phone playing the theme song from Leave it to Beaver, well, let’s just say you’ll know its me.

The iPhone Ringtone Maker is fully compatible with all iPhone devices, like iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. And it supports the new iOS 5. It is available from  www.anymp4.com  for only 15 dollars.

Swimmer’s Treadmill burns those calories with as little space as possible

Gadgets, February 5, 2012
1 Point2 Points3 Points4 Points5 Points6 Points7 Points8 Points9 Points10 Points (No Ratings Yet)

One of the inconveniences of modern times would be the lack of living space for the average person simply because nobody makes new land anymore – unless you are reclaiming it, of course, which is “cheating”. Not only that, property prices do not seem to get lower each year, but on average, they tend to hold and go north – unless there is a really bad recession, of course. Having said that, not everyone is able to afford a home with a swimming pool, so this is where the $1,400 Swimmer’s Treadmill comes in handy.

Such a swimming pool is basically the translation of a regular treadmill, except that you will be swimming laps in a stationary position. Sounds like some sort of sorcery, but actually, this 65′ square pool is small enough to be set up in garages, backyards, and even basements. A harness will wrap around your waist, as long as it is no smaller than 22″ and you do not have love handles that send the measuring tape more than 42″. A flexible elastic tether will also be part of the set up that suspends swimmers in the water, delivering different levels of resistance. For example, stronger strokes and kicks will yield additional resistance. Even better news is this – there is no need for any special tools, plumbing, or electrical work to get it installed, where all you need to do is fill up the 4.5-feet high pool with 1,500 gallons of fresh, chlorinated, or saltwater. It is about time you start burning those fats accumulated during the holiday season, of course, to get in shape for Valentine’s Day.

I am a big fan of Winter, I love the snow and everything that comes with it, like sledding, skiing and skating. Say Good-Morning with Nostalgia Electrics Toaster with a Flip Down Griddle

Gadgets,
1 Point2 Points3 Points4 Points5 Points6 Points7 Points8 Points9 Points10 Points (No Ratings Yet)

I wake up every morning at 6 am and while the rest of the house is still fast asleep I have a quiet bowl of cereal while I ponder my day, Sure I’d like a more substantial breakfast sometimes, but I don’t want to make a mess in the kitchen and I don’t want to spend too much time rattling around, I especially don’t want to wake them up and ruin my quiet time.

Well, now enjoying a hearty breakfast is easy! Nostalgia Electrics (the folks that bring us many kitchy cooking items) introduce us to the 50′s Breakfast Toaster & Griddle. This bread and bagel toaster features a wide 2-slot toaster and, wait for it.. a flip down griddle all in one cute and compact appliance. It’s perfect for a dorm room or small apartment (Although I’m leaning towards keeping it on my desk at work) and the non-stick griddle heats up to 450 ° and features a removable grill plate and drip tray for easy cleaning.

The unit measures 6.8″ W x 8.2″ H x 13″ D so it will fit anywhere a regular toaster will, and the variable temperature controlled griddle even has a separate on/off switch for those mornings when toast will suffice. The toaster itself features a cancel button to prevent your precious toast from burning and the electric cord stows easily by wrapping it around the bracketed base.

Yup, I can see one of these in my future… but I’m not going to limit myself to just bacon and eggs… I’m going to be at my desk making frajitas and some shrimp stir fry, that should allow me to annoy people even more than usual.

The Nostalgia Toaster & Griddle is available for under 30 bucks at  www.amazon.com
