Airplane Lavatory Self-Portraits in the Flemish Style
On a domestic flight in 2010, artist and photographer Nina Katchadourian impulsively put a tissue paper toilet seat cover on her head in the plane lavatory and snapped a picture. Your first thought may not have been, “Wow, this is totally like 15th-century Flemish style portraiture paintings!” but that was where she went with it. She calls the series “Seat Assignment: Lavatory Self-Portraits in the Flemish Style.”
While in the lavatory on a domestic flight in March 2010, I spontaneously put a tissue paper toilet cover seat cover over my head and took a picture in the mirror. The image evoked 15th-century Flemish portraiture. I decided to add more images made in this mode and planned to take advantage of a long-haul flight from San Francisco to Auckland, guessing that there were likely to be long periods of time when no one was using the lavatory on the 14-hour flight. I made several forays to the bathroom from my aisle seat, and by the time we landed I had a large group of new photographs entitled Lavatory Self-Portraits in the Flemish Style.

Famous Brand Slogans on Condom Packages
New Condoms is a Tumblr blog to watch. It’s dedicated to original photoshops of well-known corporate slogans as condom wrappers, effectively classing up the “that’s what she said” jokes with professionally-done photo editing. The site is maintained by Max Wright, a 19-year-old photographer in Los Angeles who also runs several other sites.

Hilarious Currency Manipulations by James Charles
From Star Wars to Jimi Hendrix via politicians or pop icons, James Charles did them all! Currently exhibiting at Shooting Gallery in San Fransisco, they are still couple of them for sell, averaging around $700, very worth it for those beautiful pieces of modern art.

“As of last year, artist James Charles has been engrossed in an interesting new project; small in scale…but large in depth. He began drawing on dollar bills, for the sake of his own amusement; crudely altering the presidents’ faces to become monsters, celebrities, etc. After accidentally spending a few of his early pieces, James decided to stop carrying them in his wallet, and started putting them inside of a magazine for safe-keeping. The magazine folder eventually became a large scrapbook, showcasing bills of all denominations. He found ink and materials to match perfectly what the U.S. Mint uses on the bank notes, and began to experiment with ways to alter the font and script along the bottom of the bills. It became the perfect way for James to inject an additional layer of wit.
“Altering currency in this way also poses questions regarding the true value of paper bills, something made with seemingly insignificant materials – that somehow fuels our country’s evershifting economy, and ultimately impacts living conditions around the globe. James has put a wrench in the recirculation process by claiming his role as an artist, and declaring these specific bills are not currency, but art objects.”
Hilarious Yoga Dogs Calendar
A golden retriever holding firm in the classic warrior pose and a Chihuahua chilling out in the pendant position are just some examples for this hilarious Yoga Dogs calendar.
Texas couple Dan and Alejandra Borris teamed up to create the immensely popular calendar featuring canines doing yoga poses. But if you hadn’t guessed, professional photographer Dan has leaned heavily on photoshop to create these howling good fun pics. Relying on his wife Alejandra, a former yoga teacher and now animal practioner, to get the dogs in as close to position as possible, Dan then photographs the dogs before making adjustments in photoshop.

Cars That Look like Animals
Yes, you read it right! But apart from animals there are some cartoon characters that cars resemble. My favourite is Chrysler Crossfire, look what it looks like. Too funny :) It’s always worth pointing out odd similarities like this, and although poor The Simpsons character Milhouse isn’t technically an animal, the coincidental resemblance is still very amusing. Of course, the rest of the list isn’t comprised of Homer, Bart and Maggie, so don’t worry.
